Bureau Of Industrial Standards has developed various Standards for quality and usage of various products. ISI mark is allotted to those adhering to those standards. BIS standards are expected in coherence in the same way as the handing out and the label of Indian Standards Institute is alone the proof that the product if later than required processing Standards.

Bureau of Industrial Standards has provided for a list of Products below mandatory authorization list. For the direct of promotion and selling of these products, obtaining ISI Certification at production stage is compulsory. These products are:

  • Cement
  • Household Electrical Goods
  • Multi-Purpose Dry Batteries
  • Cereal and Non Cereal based out of the ordinary foods
  • Condensed Milk
  • Milk Powder
  • Packaged Mineral and Drinking Water
  • Plastic and Glass feeding bottles
  • Oil Pressure Stoves
  • Clinical Thermo0meters and X ray Machines
  • Steel Products

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR OBTAINING ISI CERTIFIATION IN Punaichak:

  • Copy of acknowledgement expected from portal/ Screen shot of the online file submission
  • Address Proof (1) Business Licence               (2) Other Document issued by Govt.
  • Demand Draft gone photocopy of DD or NEFT detail
  • If application is not signed by the CEO, Authority letter from CEO (Authorized signatory to be an employee of the company)
  • FORM VI Online generated copy (duly signed and sealed)
  • Undertaking
  1. a) For Test report
  2. b) For IS 13252 (Part 1) amendment 2, if applicable
  3. c) For IS 16046 Changeover to 2015 version, if applicable
  • Test Report

STEPS INVOLVED IN OBTAINING ISI CERTIFICATION IN Punaichak

  1. Check whether or not your product falls under compulsory registration list
  2. Submit Product for psychiatry at BIS endorsed lab
  3. Pay early payment online or through a dd
  4. Submit online application in Form V and get devotion of a copy of such form after booming submission
  5. Submit anything the documents in difficult copy along later than duly signed Form V later than the department
  6. Department shall conduct a site visit
  7. Issuance of ISI Certificate.
